RescuePet is a searchable database of rescued animals looking for good new homes, from a range of shelters, rescue organisations and breed rescues. Originally a UK-only site, RescuePet has relaunched and now supports international use.

If you are an animal shelter, from anywhere in the world and particularly the UK, please go ahead and register. Your registration will be checked by an administrator and converted to Shelter status on the RescuePet system. (This checking procedure hopefully will protect the site from abuse.) You will then be able to log in and start uploading photos and details of rescued animals in your care that you want to find new homes for.

Public users - please use RescuePet to find your next best friend and read about animal welfare news from across the world.

News - Please send any links for stories that RescuePet readers will want to read - e.g. reports of welfare issues, animal information, happy animal stories, succesful adoption stories and accounts.

URGENT - 9 dogs on death row
RescuePet has received this extremely urgent appeal below from Trudie James at the Doris Banham rescue for 9 dogs in the UK that are due to be destroyed this Saturday at a dog pound in the UK.

Please see the full details below for each lovely dog, sorry there are only four photos, we are waiting for the rest of them to be sent to us. It does not matter what the dogs look like anyway, they are in desperate trouble and need to be saved from the lethal injection.

Please do all you can to help- foster/forever homes/rescue spaces needed now.
 
Transport will be provided anywhere in the UK

Any rescue centres that kindly offer help please meet the following criteria:
1- A NO DESTRUCTION POLICY

3- DOG GETS RETURNED TO THE SANCTUARY IF OWNER CAN NO LONGER KEEP
Kind individuals who come forward to help will be homechecked

These dogs are due for destruction in a pound in the North on Saturday.  Please could anyone offer them rescue places .We can transport anywhere in the country.

MISSY - Brindle staffy cross bitch....2 yrs old....friendly

RUBY - staffy bitch red  3 years old, friendly, medium size

WINSTON -  staffy male - 3 years old with  lop-sided jaw/dents in his head...brown and white and very sad. He is so very depressed , doesnt wag his tail, just stands and looks.  He needs to come out very urgently.
Update! Winston has gone into foster care 
 

DIGGER - cross staffy dog tan  2years old medium size friendly and dizzy

TESSA - Brindle staffy bitch. - small and friendly - 3 yrs old
