Otis

Otis is a tiger brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

We have no history for Otis as he was a stray dog. Otis is a lively youngster, only about 1yr to 18 months old, who needs to burn some energy off! He is a very sweet SBT X who would love to be part of an active family. Otis needs some basic training and would love to be involved in agility or obedience. He is very intelligent and just wants to please. Otis would soon settle down given the right environment to channel all that energy. He is good with people including older children but he would be better suited as an only pet. Otis is adored by the kennel staff even though he enjoys to constantly knock over his water bowls and have them filled again! Otis loves water! Please give Otis the chance he deserves. We are looking for a permanent or foster home for Otis, or a rescue space.

ALFIE is a 3 year old male tan and white coloured staffordshire bull terrier. We believe that he has been used for dog fighting in the past and despite having completed a 6 month training course, he is aggressive with all animals. However he makes up for this with bundles of love and affection with the 2 legged variety of animals.

However she can try and be dominant sometimes with both dogs and people once she gets her confidence with them and so would require a home who are prepared to continue with her demotive training.

MARLEY AND JASPER are a pair of 3 year old female staffys who were actually handed into the pound by their owners. They are absolutely lovely dogs and have an extremely gentle nature. They can be aggressive with other dogs however. Ideally we would like to find a home for them together but if not we are confident that they will cope fine on their own.

However he is very affectionate and craves love and attention. He really requires a peaceful gentle home where he can continue to rebuild his confidence and trust in people.

DOUG is 3 year old male Rottweiller who was found starving on a building site. He is a lovely affectionate dog who loves attention and being made a fuss of. He is currently sharing his kennel with another dog(Sam) and seems to be good with most dogs and bitches. Doug would suit a quiet home with owners experienced with large breeds. We feel that Doug and Sam could be rehomed together if the right home came along.

FREDDIE the foxhound is a 3 year old foxhound who had some major issues due to the way he had been treated in the past when we saved him from the pound and has required a long rehabilitation.He has come on in leaps and bounds and is now ready to move on to an experienced home who can continue to develop his confidence with in people and provide him with plenty of exercise.

Buster, 2 year old Staffie

Buster is a 2 yr old Staffie big and beautiful! He has had a stable background and enjoyed training and fun times. However his life has turned upside down as his owners have split and due to circumstances he is left alone all day with just lunchtime relief..then a short walk during the weekdays..longer at weekends. He copes well and isn't destructive or noisy..however his energy levels and emotionality is sky high for about 30 mins when his owner arrives home and she knows he can't cope long term as a young dog.

Buster is neutered, vax'd and chipped. He is not over weight but a good weight with a shiny brindle coat. Fully housetrained. He has the Staffie leapy up trait especially when excited and needs more expression of his pent up energy than to just be able to command him by words. On meeting him I could see he wanted to run and run. He is good off the lead and mixes with dogs. He has a male Rottie friend that he visits and they have a great play.
Buster is FAB. but will take some work to settle his energy levels but thank god he isn't in kennels..he has always experienced love and is very well socialised. He has a tremendous amount going for him to compete with the hundreds of Staffie seeking good understanding homes. In West London

Batleigh, 2 year old Staffie

Batleigh is about 2 yrs was found stray with a smile on his face and red ball in his mouth. The smile must have been there because he was being picked up and taken into the care of Rochdale Dog Rescue and therefore he was safe and would be held until a safe rescue place was found. Very lucky for any dog but Especially lucky for Batleigh being a Staff.-.proud of it and loved for it -but he may have easily been discriminated against within the 'system'. We are proud to say after nearly 1 yr in kennels Batleigh has come into foster!

Batleigh has is now housetrained. When you look into Batleigh's eyes you firstly see love...then coupled with keen intelligence and a gentle nature... He ised to grab the lead out of excitement but providing his energy levels are ultilised and his excitement levels are managed this is fading. He is now respecting the lead and understands it is taking him places so not to be chewed. He is calming down more when he gets company. Batleigh is neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Batleigh is a handsome longer legged, slighter framed Staffie. He enjoys his walks and is meeting dogs really well sometimes a little playful but if told off backs away. If you know about Staffie cuddles and licks then you'll know just how loving Batleigh is. His heart bursts in his attempt and great need to love. Batleigh is fostered in Farnham Surrey

Batleigh is doing so well and has a great following of 'lovers' and 'well wishers' We can't wait for Batleigh to find his family now he is fully adjusted into a domestic setting again. Mocha, 21 month Patterdale Terrier

Mocha was surrendered to a pound at the age of 14 months in May with no history taken. Mocha has been in kennels since waiting for her home with a month or so in foster in the midst! She is now 21 months old. She has been spayed and fully vax. She is a Patterdale terrier, chocolate brown with badger white markings. She is tiny for a Patterdale; very dainty - the size of a domestic cat. She is loving and sensitive. Keenly intelligent and every bit the Terrier Miss. She can react to dogs in a kennels situation though is much calmer now. Out on her walks she meets dogs well and learning to take it all in her stride. Mocha will need to stay on an 8 metre extender to ensure controlled introductions and that she comes back! Needs to be an only pet with out visiting pets. Mocha is a terrier who needs a terrier owner She be a fabulous dog to be really proud of. Her only issue is she can get herself in a tizz and react if meetings are too fast..controlled and gentle - all is well. Mocha is people centred..relaxes when you're with her and will look for permission to come on your lap. She can be left for short periods without event and very well housetrained. She is a pretty as a picture but as her name suggests she is full of beans!! She doesn't deserve to have been in kennels for such a long time, but she is now in foster.

Sebastian, 1 year old Collie/Staffie X

Sebastian was found stray in Wales. He was in good condition & around 1 yr old. He won many hearts whilst waiting his time to be reclaimed. Sadly no one came forwards and gladly we have him in our care. We have just had him neutered; chipped and vax'd and he is beginning to enjoy his time in rescue. Seb. is great with dogs and fun on his walks. Sebastian needs a secure garden and ideally another playmate. Loves people and can't see he'd have an issue with children other may knock them over with enthusiasm. He can chew still and use his mouth but it is very soft, more likely to lick you. He is just lovely. We think he is a Collie x Staffie..a mix that we are familar with and is a heart winning crossbreed. His size is small Collie and his energy is lively and very friendly.

Sebastian looks like a tiger with the softest of coats. He has beautiful eyes to match. He needs formal training but is keen to learn and delighted with attention and affection. Seb. is housetrained. Truly a remarkable dog who is a whow in his presence and looks. He will be loved to bits by his forever owners and remembered I'm sure as the most unique and fanastic dog ever!!!! He is a stunner.
